Live-At-Home Solutions fosters independence for seniors at home
Helping seniors maintain their independence in their own homes is the goal of our sister organization, Live-At-Home Solutions. Like Salina Healthy Lifestyles, it is a division of the Saline County Commission on Aging. Among Live-At-Home's programs are: Meals on Wheels and frozen meals — Hot meals are delivered by volunteers to those who are homebound, with subsidies available to those who would struggle with the cost. The division also offers to the general public microwave-ready frozen meals that provide a convenient meal option. Home Support Services — This service provides in-home assistance with housekeeping, meals, laundry and other tasks that are part of maintaining a household. Sunflower Adult Day Services — Sunflower offers a structured day activity program for elderly persons who need constant supervision, and a respite opportunity for those who care for them at home. Care management — This is a referral service that links elderly residents and their families with resources that can help them stay in their own homes.
